Contents
are divided into 19 Categories, according to degree
of risk. These categories are, in turn, divided into
two main sections:-
Agreed Value
-
This includes items
which cannot readily be identified by make/model
number, such as furniture, antiques, persian
carpets, linen etc.
-
The agreed value,
adjusted for inflation, is payable in the event
of a claim, although this does not preclude an
insurer of exercising it’s option to replace.
-
Jewellery. Qantam
does not value jewellery but includes an
estimate so as not to hold up the final
valuation. Clients are encouraged to obtain
valuations for items that exceed the limit set
by the insurers.
|
Replacement Value
-
These are items
that have a make and model number and claims
settlement is usually based on the actual
replacement cost of the item, which can be more,
or less, than the amount shown on the inventory.
